How much is the late registration fee?
If you go beyond the registration week which is based on the middle digit of the plate number. You need to pay a fee of PHP 200 for vehicles and PHP 100 for motorcycles.
If you go beyond the registration month, but not more than 12 months which is based on the last digit of the plate number. You need to pay a fee amounting to 50% of the MVUC (Motor Vehicle User’s Charge) rate based on your vehicle class.
If you go beyond 12 months without apprehension for LTO violations. You need to pay a fee amounting to 50% of the MVUC (Motor Vehicle User’s Charge) rate based on your vehicle class plus the one year cost of renewing your car registration.
If you go beyond 12 months with apprehension for LTO violations. You need to pay a fee amounting to 50% of the MVUC (Motor Vehicle User’s Charge) rate based on your vehicle class plus the cost of renewing your car registration for every year of delinquency.
How can I avoid getting charged for late car registration?
Make sure to keep your OR/CR in your car at all times, and to renew your car registrations no more than 60 days before its expiration date.
